The legendary mezzo-soprano Christa Ludwig died on 24 April 2021. She worked with such colleagues as Maria Callas, Herbert von Karajan and Elisabeth Schwarzkopf (to name three...) and gave a master class at the International Vocal Competition in 2014. Juror and pianist Charles Spencer accompanied Christa Ludwig's last recital and mezzo-soprano Jard van Nes who was a juror at the First Rounds of the Lied Duo Competition this year has been coached by her. They are happy to share their memories with you.
