IVC Geschiedenis 1954 - 2023

Deze 2023 editie van de terugblik op de International Vocal Competition 's-Hertogenbosch (IVC) combineert de complete resultaten per jaar met anekdotes, persrecensies, herinneringen van deelnemers, organisatie en publiek en aantal van de verbluffende carrière-retrospectieven.

Dit boekwerk volgt de IVC door de decennia heen, vanaf de spectaculaire opkomst in de jaren vijftig via adolescentie in de jaren zestig, en van daaruit naar vroege volwassenheid in de jaren zeventig. Met de overwinning van Nelly Miricioiù in 1979 en de komst van Thomas Hampson in 1980 bereikte de wedstrijd het punt waarop tot op heden nog deelnemers bekend zijn.
