Theater aan de Parade will be closed until 1 November 2016

06 July 2016 Due to the find of asbestos, the Theater aan de Parade (the IVC location) will be closed until 1 November 2016

Today, The International Vocal Competition took notice of the news that the Theater aan de Parade in ’s-Hertogenbosch will be closed until 1 November 2016. This is due the recent find of asbestos in the building and the investigation initiated by the municipality of ’s-Hertogenbosch.

Traditionally, The International Vocal Competition takes place in the Theater aan de Parade, this year from 8 through 17 September 2016. The IVC is looking into alternatives for the 51st edition. The outcome will be published as soon as possible via www.ivc.nu and via the newsletter and social media accounts of the Competition. All parties are or will be updated about this development.

General manager of the IVC, Annett Andriesen: "We feel sorry for all participants and the public who are looking forward to the Competition. At this moment we can’t say what the solution will be for us.”
