Main Jury November
The main jury in November is of an exceptionally high international level. Mezzo-soprano Dame Sarah Connolly, IVC prizewinner, will preside over the jury. The other jury members are tenor Howard Haskin, tenor Christoph Prégardien, pianist Charles Spencer, pianist Roger Vignoles and programmer of the Concertgebouw Mirjam Wijzenbeek. Unlike the Opera | Oratorio Competition where only the vocalists are judged, during the LiedDuo Competition both the vocalists and the pianists are judged. The winning duo will therefore share the first prize worth €7,500. The total prize money of the competition is € 20,000.

Around the competition IVC organizes a 'festival of the art song' in November. At various locations in 's-Hertogenbosch - including Het Noordbrabants Museum, Verkadefabriek and Willem Twee toonzaal - the public will be able to enjoy various concerts and recitals. Tenor Christoph Prégardien, for example, will give a recital with the complete Dichterliebe by Schumann, and there will be recitals by laureates, as well as master classes, a children's performance about the classical song and the world premiere of the new prize song Vermeer's Gold by composer Bart Visman and lyricist Marc Pantus.

Online ticket sales are via the Verkadefabriek website and start September 21. www.verkadefabriek.nl
