Friday May 17th the first 'First Round' of this year's 53rd IVC LiedDuo was held at Internationaal Lied Festival Zeist. Seven singer-piano duo's auditioned for a place in the semi finals in November.

The jury selected two duo's for the semi finals:

- Raoul Steffani (baritone) & Daan Boertien

- Fabian Langguth (baritone) & Camille Lemonnier
