Get swept away by world class singing in a unique cultural setting.
In 2026, the International Vocal Competition furthers its intimate, out-of-the-box concert series. Six evening concerts in unique historical locations in Den Bosch’s city center bring classical music as close to the public as it gets.
The 2026 series opens on 21 May in the hall of the Ruby Soho in Den Bosch with a performance by Theatre in Song 2nd Prize Winners soprano Madeline Saputra and instrumentalist Apollon Kalamenios. They present Picture This Among the Folks, a nostalgic journey back in time following the life of a princess who knew their was more to the world that what first meets the eye. The yearning, nostalgic melodies of Indonesian keroncong coupled with, among others, contemporary German Lied, bring this story to roaring life.
The series continues with the most unexpected location possible… a carpark! The never-ending creativity and originality of duo mezzo-soprano Roza Herwig and pianist Julius Backer will leave you longing for a good ol’ fashioned roadtrip. Music by Bizet, Schubert, Britten, Weill, Sonneveld and more create the soundtrack to this exciting evening!
