Thomas Hampson

One of the most august names to emerge from the IVC, Thomas Hampson was a laureate in 1980. He is one of America’s foremost baritones and has received many honours and awards for his captivating artistry and cultural leadership. He has an opera repertoire of over 80 roles sung in all the major opera houses of the world and his discography comprises more than 170 albums. Through the Hampsong Foundation, founded in 2003, he employs the art of song to promote intercultural dialogue and understanding.
