Baritone Marco Bakker was for a long period one of the most famous classical singers in the Netherlands. He made his debut as the main singer in the Opera “De Droom” by Ton de Leeuw at the Holland Festival. He was a laureate of the IVC competition amongst others. He was not only an opera and concert performer but had a very important career in operetta and acted in a movie with the Dutch comical duo Theo and Thea. Marco Bakker is still active on stage in and outside the Netherlands.
