Annett Andriesen was a prizewinner at the IVC in 1975 and returned to the IVC as a member of the board and later as its director in 2008 until 2018. She sang approximately 100 opera roles in opera houses all over the world: DNO in Amsterdam, de Vlaamse Opera in Antwerp, the Liceu in Barcelona and La Scala in Milano and San Francisco to name only a few. Her repertoire went from Ulrika in Un Ballo in Maschera to Mme Croissy (Les dialogues des Carmélites) to Fricka (Walküre). She appears regularly on TV and is a member of various influential boards for Dutch culture and her passion is coaching and advising young singers.
