The foundation does not operate under a collective labor agreement (NL: CAO). Employees receive a salary as specified in the employment agreement drawn up at the time of appointment, with an annual adjustment based on the CBS (Statistics Netherlands) consumer price index of the previous calendar year. Board members of the Stichting ’s-Hertogenbosch Muziekstad do not receive any reimbursement of expenses nor any compensation for attending meetings.
The foundation aims to promote interest in and knowledge of classical vocal music. It does so by discovering young vocal talent and offering opportunities for development, as well as facilitating performance opportunities. Furthermore, everything that is directly or indirectly related to or may be conducive to the above, all in the broadest sense of the word.
