The IVC
deals with the corona virus situation as constructively as possible.
Since 23 March we present highlights from our video archive free of charge via our Forum. Virtually, we hope in this way to inspire the public, our laureates and candidates in the current situation. vocalcommunity.ivc.nu
Many of our laureate concerts will not take place due to the suspension of concerts and performances. Together with our partners, we are doing everything we can to find new dates and, where possible, soften the situation for our artists. It is of the utmost importance to us that young artists do not fall victim to this situation.
The International Vocal Competition ‘s-Hertogenbosch wants to assure a Competition of high safety and artistic standards.
The current situation is complicated. The theatres and concert halls in the Netherlands were closed until 1st June and severe restrictions have been implemented after reopening. We cannot foresee what the international travel situation will be at the end of August. We have therefore decided to cancel the live auditions of the Preliminary Rounds.
Enrolment for the YouTube preliminary rounds has been suspended while we are investigating possible scenarios for our 54th Competition coming November. As soon as we have more clarity about the Competition we will advise you via our website, newsletter and social media channels. We keep our loyal followers and all candidates informed of the latest developments.
