The last winner of the Opera | Oratorio competition is Canadian tenor Josh Lovell who is on his way to make a more than promising career in the international opera world. The day after winning the 1st Prize at the IVC, he performed the aria of Tonio from La fille du régiment for Dutch television at Paul Witteman before heading back to Chicago where he is a member of the Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Opera Center. After his time there he will be moving to Vienna as a member of the ensemble at the Staatsoper.
