IVC – The world keeps on singing

In November, come to a week of singing and thinking about the future of singing in 's-Hertogenbosch. The International Vocal Competition organizes the IVC Mozart Masterclass & More, given by three renowned masters: mezzo-soprano Vesselina Kasarova, soprano Roberta Alexander and baritone Thomas Oliemans. They work with eight soloists on repertoire by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. In addition, leading professionals such as Sarah Connolly(mezzo-soprano and IVC laureate), Manuel Brug (opera journalist Die Welt), Rosemary Joshua (Dutch National Opera Studio) and Joan Matabosch(Teatro Real Madrid) talk with the participants about the future of their profession.

The masterclass participants end their course week with a presentation concert on December 3. Soprano Eva-Maria Westbroek and the String Quartet South Netherlands Philharmonic close Mozart masterclass and more on December 4 with Hector Berlioz’sLes nuits d'été andCanciones castellanas by Jesús Guridi with pianist Hans Eijsackers. Both concerts can be followed via a live stream from 8pm at Parmando24Culture.
