Bas-bariton Matthias Hoffmann
Matthias Hoffmann was born in Tyrol, Austria, and received his Bachelor of Arts at the University of Music in Vienna, where he still studies with Karlheinz Hanser and Florian Boesch in the Masterstudy Song and Oratory. He was member of the International Opera Studio Cologne and is part of the ensemble there since 2017. Roles at the Opera Cologne have included i.a. Figaro („Le Nozze di Figaro“) Masetto („Don Giovanni“), Collatinus („The Rape of Lucretia“), Schaunard („La Bohème“), Harašta („The Cunning Little Vixen“) and at the Nederlandse Reisopera Masetto („Don Giovanni“). Other roles he performed in different theatres were i.a. Mozart's Leporello, Papageno and Frank („Die Fledermaus“).

As a concert soloist he gave guest appearances in Austria, China, Italy, Japan and Switzerland, his repertoire includes i.a. J.S.Bach's „Ich habe genug“, the Christmas Oratory, St. Mathew's Passio and Handel's „Dettinger Te Deum“, Haydn's „The Creation“ and „The Seasons“ and Fauré's „Requiem“. Also as a Lied-singer he appears in concerts in Germany and Austria, his last concert was in January with Malcom Martineau in Pierre Boulez-Saal in Berlin with a programme of Schubert songs and he is also scholar of the Heidelberger Song Academy. Matthias Hoffmann was awarded the Richard-Wagner-Scholarship and the Tokyo- Leadship-Scholarship, has participated in masterclasses with Brigitte Fassbaender, Helmut Deutsch, Bo Skovhus and José van Damme and is prize winner at “Musica-Juventutis” in the Vienna Konzerthaus, at „Songbook“, a competition of the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation and winner of the first Tyrolean Classic Singing Award 2016.
Pianist Lisa Ochsendorf

Lisa Ochsendorf has always been fascinated by the interplay of music and language, therefore she studied both music and French in Frankfurt am Main. In July 2019 she completed her master's degree in Liedgestaltung with Prof. Ulrich Eisenlohr at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Cologne. In a postgraduate Liedduo course at the Mozarteum Salzburg she will now continue her studies with Prof. Pauliina Tukiainen together with the bass baritone Matthias Hoffmann.

The pianist also received musical inspiration in master classes with Erik Battaglia, Axel Bauni, Anne Le Bozec, Helmut Deutsch, Irina Edelstein, Ulrich Eisenlohr, Peter Nelson, Christoph Prégardien, Jan-Philipp Schulze and Pauliina Tukiainen.

In November 2018 she won the second prize of the Brigitte Kempen Competition. In October 2019 she won the special prize for piano accompaniment at the Paula-Salomon- Lindberg Competition.

Lisa Ochsendorf has performed several times at the Alte Oper and the Paulskirche in Frankfurt am Main. Concerts have taken her to Aachen, Berlin, Dortmund, Freiburg, Cologne, Leipzig and Stuttgart as well as to France, Italy, Austria and Switzerland. Her repertoire ranges from classical to contemporary music. In the project „Poet in Residence“ she was involved in the creation and premiere of a composition.

In addition to an Erasmus scholarship for her semester abroad in Lausanne, she was supported for two years by the Deutschlandstipendium and was a scholarship holder of the Stiftung Polytechnische Gesellschaft Frankfurt am Main for two years. She also received scholarships from the DAAD and the Friends and Sponsors of the HfMT Cologne for master classes abroad.
