Results Preliminary Rounds in China

12 June 2016 Last week, the IVC jury was at the Nanjing University of the Arts in China for the last Preliminary Rounds.

Annett Andriesen, general manager of the IVC, is happy to announce that some of the Preliminary Rounds took place at the Nanjing University of the Arts in China. Andriesen: "There is a great interest in classic vocal music in China and they have lots of talented singers. The International Vocal Competition was invited for several masterclasses and our Preliminary Rounds at the University of Nanjing. What they can learn from us is more about style, language and to understand more about the period in which the composotion has been made. During our visit we have heard very good tenors and some of them have been selected for our 51st Competition in September. Conservatory in The Hague and Amsterdam also work together with Chinese singers and universities. With the IVC we are willing to contribute to this exchange."
