Meet the Summer School participants

26 August 2015 During the Summer School on Russian repertoire you will meet the young and talented 22 singers and 2 pianists.

12 countries, 22 singers, 2 pianists
The participants travel from all over the world to join the Summer School on Russian repertoire. We will welcome singers and pianists from countries such as Russia, Argentina, South Korea and Belgium. 22 singers and 2 pianists are selected to take part in the intensive week of training in technical skills and the Russian language. Of course, you are welcome to attend the public master classes and presentations.

Professional young talents
You will probably know 2 participants already from previous editions of the International Vocal Competition and our concerts. The soprano's and sisters Gulnara and Elnara Shafigullina. Bass-baritone Gevorg Grigoryan from Russia is one of the male participants. He has played the role of Tomsky in Pique Dame (Pjotr Iljitsj Tchaikovsky) and was the title character in Aleko (Sergej Vasiljevitsj Rachmaninov). In the 2012/2013 season he worked for Flanders Opera. The Mexican mezzo-soprano Itzel Trejo Medécigo studied at the HKU University of the Arts Utrecht and followed the ‘Talent Development Program’ from the Dutch National Opera in 2013.

Do you want to know more about the Summer School participants? You are very welcome from 6 through 10 September at the Theater aan de Parade to attend the public masterclasses. For only € 5,- or € 10,- you can buy a ticket. We hope to see you at the presentation concerts as well. On 11 and 12 September they will take place at the Theater aan de Parade in ‘s-Hertogenbosch and at Nationale Opera & Ballet in Amsterdam.
