In 2018 the birth of the legendary Leonard Bernstein 100 years ago is celebrated worldwide. Leonard Bernstein, American composer, conductor, pianist and educator, left behind a very versatile oeuvre. In January the IVC organizes a course week in partnership with 'Dutch National Opera talent' on the vocal music of Leonard Bernstein. The Masterclass on Wednesday, 24th January is open to the public, as well as the Presentation Concerts on 26th and 27th January 2018. In this video soprano Roberta Alexander speaks about performing and recording Bernstein's music and her meetings with the famous composer/conductor.
